| Process of Purchasing a Puppy |
| In an effort to be as fair as possible when selling our puppies to their future owners, we have established the following protocol: After a breeding takes place, that litter is announced on the website with the projected date of birth. At that point, we make a list of those who contact us and who are interested in purchasing a puppy. We do not accept reservations on unborn litters. When the puppies are born, we notify those who are on the list. We ask for a deposit of $100, that must be received within 7 working days. We accept payments through Paypal, money order, and personal check. The order in which deposits are received ranks the choice of puppy. Full payment must be received by the time the puppy is 6 weeks of age. At the time of purchase, puppies are sold with limited or full AKC registration. " Limited" registration means that the dog is registered with the American Kennel Club, but NO litters produced by the dog are eligible for registration. " Full" registration means that the dog is registered with the American Kennel Club, as well as, ALL future litters produced by the dog. It is possible to reverse limited registration to full registration if desired. Deposits are nonrefundable. However, they can be transferred to a future litter. Puppies are priced between $650 -- $1000, depending on breedings. We offer Avid Microchipping upon request for a $20 fee. The microchip will be inserted when the puppy is 8 weeks old. Puppies that require shipping cannot be shipped until they are 8 weeks of age. We ship our puppies from Bluegrass Airport in Lexington, KY, using Delta Pet First as our carrier. Shipping charges are in addition to the price of the puppy. They include the cost of a crate (receipt will be included with paperwork), the actual cost of the flight, and a $75 travelling fee due to the distance of the airport from our home (100 miles). The actual flight charge can be paid COD when the puppy is received at his/her destination if desired. |
